Science Festival 2014 (Festa da Ciência 2014) is a project of School of Sciences – Minho University aimed to communicate science, mainly to high school grade students, and took place between Monday 12/05/2014 and Wednesday 05/14/2014. Ciência na Ponta dos Dedos (Science at the tip of your fingers) arose in the context of "Projecto", a curricular unit of the 3rd year of "Licenciatura em Biologia Aplicada" and consists in a mini laboratory where children, from 6 to 10 years old, can see, try and participate in scientific hands-on activities. The experimental activities are designed and settled in accordance with the theme "water - source of life" through the development of six different group activities which give the opportunity to explore several multidisciplinary aspects of the theme.
