“Impacts of silver nanoparticles in freshwater detrital food-webs in a warming Scenario” was considered the best Portuguese thesis of 2017, presented in Portugal in the field of limnology. The thesis was conducted at the University of Minho, at the CBMA, and was presented by Daniela Batista and supervised by Fernanda Cássio and Cláudia Pascoal, both from CBMA.

“Impacts of silver nanoparticles in freshwater detrital food-webs in a warming Scenario” was considered the best Portuguese thesis of 2017, presented in Portugal in the field of limnology. The thesis was conducted at the University of Minho, at the CBMA, and was presented by Daniela Batista and supervised by Fernanda Cássio and Cláudia Pascoal, both from CBMA.

With this award, Daniela becomes a candidate to compete for the best European-level award from the European Federation for Freshwater Sciences (EFFS).

The candidate theses were evaluated according to three independent criteria: novelty and interest of the subject investigated, experimental design and methodology, presentation and formal aspects. A three-member jury, in this case Lucia Guilhermino, Rafael Marcé and David Sánchez, evaluated each candidate.
