Registration for the “No Centro da Ação” program has now opened. This project, promoted by the Biology Department of the School of Sciences, has the main objective of giving students the opportunity to get to know a research laboratory "from the inside", through their integration into a research group for a week. At the end, participants will have the opportunity to present their work at their own event.
Registration opens this Wednesday, November 27th, and runs until December 6th. The opportunity is aimed at first-year C1 students of courses in the Department of Biology, namely degrees in Applied Biology, Biology and Geology, Biochemistry and Environmental Sciences. In general, participants will have the opportunity to integrate into the daily life of a laboratory and, in this way, learn about and participate in what is done at the Research Center assigned to the Department of Biology, the CBMA. Activities may include monitoring and carrying out experimental, computational and/or field work. According to the organizing committee, "this will be a learning space, which aims to encourage the spirit of teamwork, scientific awareness and critical thinking towards science".
