"School of Nature", a project of the Center for Environmental Monitoring and Interpretation of Viana do Castelo was named one of the five finalists of the European Natura 2000 Awards, in the "Communication" category.
This project has as partners the Municipality of Esposende and Vila Nova de Cerveira, the University of Coimbra, through the Institute of the Sea, and the scientific and technical support of the Center for Molecular and Environmental Biology of the University of Minho and the Center for Conservation of Butterflies of Portugal.
This project is also competing in the "EU Citizen`s Awards" that will be awarded to the finalist who receives the highest number of votes (public voting) through the Natura 2000 Awards website.
