On behalf of the organizing committee, it is our pleasure to announce the “6th Annual ISCaM Meeting”to be held on 17-19 October 2019 at Bom Jesus do Monte, Braga, Portugal.
Cancer metabolism has been attracting attention of researchers and clinicians during the latest years, being recognized as a promising target for cancer therapy. In addition, metabolic rewiring has been identified as a mechanism of resistance to both classical and targeted therapy. In this meeting, we have set a comprehensive program that tackles the many faces of cancer metabolism, highlighting the recent advances in the field and the road ahead for clinical translation. We believe that this program will attract the interest of both basic and translational young and senior researchers, as well as clinicians, offering the opportunity to exchange ideas in a friendly and stimulating environment, which hopefully will promote fruitful collaborations. We expect that this meeting will contribute to unveil new and more effective ways to fight cancer.
We are looking forward to welcome you to an inspirational and memorable ISCaM meeting!
Your local hosts,
Fátima Baltazar and Ana Preto
